One '86 4Runner. Two Climbers. Three Months. The Entire West Coast. Follow The Dream. Follow Phil and Brett as they climb their way across the west coast. "Starting October 15, 2009 we’re setting off on a 3 month road trip to rock climb all of the major destinations down the West Coast of the U.S. Starting in Seattle, we'll be making a massive loop, driving the coast as far south as Mexico, and eventually returning north further inland. The primary goals of the trip? Leaving life behind, climbing as many classic spots as possible, all while running south from the weather. Thanks to the support of Amazing Grass we'll be able to stay properly nourished while enduring life on the road. We're looking forward to enjoying the benefits of good nutrition throughout our climbs". Keep up with Phil and Brett at their blog, Phil and Brett's Excellent Adventure. ![]() Mike Fata and Autumn Bree of Manitoba Harvest show off their greens. Her mom, Kristen was a bit surprised to learn that Coral prefers to eat our Green SuperFood and Kidz SuperFood right from the bottle. Now that is one healthy kid! ![]() After a two day trek over 16 miles, Co-Founder Brandon Bert takes in the view from the summit of 12,799 foot Granite Peak, the high point in Montana. Luckily he had his Amazing Grass along for the journey...the sustained energy and endurance it gave him, allowed him to reach the top before an oncoming storm and help some weary climbers from another group carry down their bags. ![]() Little Jake doesn't like broccoli, but he loves his green smoothie every morning. Amazing Grass is his number one choice for getting his serving of greens. ![]() Audra Simpkins celebrates a successful ascent of Grasshopper Glacier in the Bear Tooth Mountains, Montana. She always starts her day out with a double serving of Amazing Grass wheat grass mixed with OJ. While many other day hikers gave up at Goose lake far below, Audra reached the 11,500 foot summit with energy to burn. She didn't find any grasshoppers on the glacier, but proceeded to hike to the top three times to glissade down the glacier's steep slopes. Amazing Grass is proud to sponsor Team Bode! The formation of Team Bode was inspired by the story of Bode Chait, the son of a very good friend of Amazing Grass co-founder Brandon Bert and everyone on the team. Bode's father, Paul Chait was brutally murdered, along with his best friend Martin Garcia in their place of work. They were both shot and killed in April 2004 in Phoenix, Arizona in a random act of violence. They were both 33 years old, husbands to young, loving wives and best friends since the age of four. They died in each other's arms. Bode was one year old when Paul was killed. Everyday we are all inspired by Bode Chait and his unfortunate and uncontrollable situation. His father was a very good man and gave unconditional love to his friends and family. One always knew how Paul felt about you because he was always the first to greet you when you walked in the door with a welcome smile, a finger pointed in your direction, a wink while walking towards you, and finally a big hug. Paul was full of life no matter how tough life got, and was a great husband, father and friend. He consistently spoke of the positive attributes of other people and used to always say, "That guy, now he's a great human." Well, Paul truly was a 'great human' and with support from Amazing Grass and many others Team Bode is keeping his spirit alive and strong through his son Bode and many other deserving children. ![]() Bei Shang Tan makes the 8 km trek through the Tian Shan mountains in Xinjiang, China everyday...But not without his Amazing Grass! |
