Red,White & Blue Superfood Smoothie

Ingredients:

Makes 2 smoothies

  • Red: 1 cup frozen cherries + ½ cup unsweetened almond milk
  • White: 1 frozen banana + ½ cup coconut milk + 2 ice cubes
  • Blue: 1 cup frozen blueberries + 1 tablespoon almond butter + ½ cup unsweetened almond milk + ½ scoop Amazing Grass Goji & Acai Superfood

Directions:

  1. In a high powered blender, combine each layer of the smoothie separately, one at a time.
  2. In between blending, pour the layer into the glass and place into the freezer for several minutes until it’s hard enough to add a second and third layer. Also, be sure to wash the blender between layers.
  3. Serve right away!

 

Superfood Black Bean Burger

Ingredients:

Makes 3 larger or 4 smaller burgers

  • 1 15oz can black beans
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour (can be cassava flour or gluten free  flour of choice, as long as it subs 1:1 for regular flour)
  • 4 tablespoons yellow onion, minced
  • ¼ tsp white pepper
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp chili powder
  • 1 egg
  • ½ scoop Amazing Grass Original Green Superfood
  • 1-2 tablespoons avocado or coconut oil
  • 2 hamburger buns or rolls
  • toppings of choice (avocado, tomato, lettuce, etc.)

Directions:

  1. Pour black beans into a strainer to drain most of the liquid. But don’t rinse the beans, we want them to have a bit of the liquid on them.
  2. Pour beans into a medium sized bowl and mash with a fork. This doesn’t have to be perfect, not all of the beans have to be mashed, but get the majority of them.
  3. Add flour, onion, white pepper, salt, chili powder, egg and Amazing Grass Original Green Superfood.
  4. Mix well with your hands until all ingredients are fully combined.
  5. Create 3-4 burgers, depending on how big you want them. Remember, black bean burgers do not shrink in size like regular burgers. So the size you start out with will be the size you end up with.
  6. Heat a large skillet over medium-high and add 1-2 tablespoons of avocado or coconut oil. Allow to heat up for about a minute.
  7. Place burgers into the skillet and cook for about 5 minutes on each side until slightly browned.
  8. Remove burgers from skillet and place on top of a hamburger bun, followed by your preferred toppings.

 

Watermelon Mint Mocktail with Watermelon Ice Cubes

Ingredients:

Makes 2 drinks 

  • 1.5 cups frozen watermelon cubes
  • 8oz sparkling mineral water
  • 8oz watermelon juice (pre-packaged or created by blending and straining fresh watermelon)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh mint, minced
  • ¼ teaspoon Amazing Grass Watermelon Energy Green Superfood

Directions:

  1. Freeze watermelon cubes until completely frozen.
  2. Combine Amazing Grass Watermelon Energy Green Superfood with 8oz watermelon juice and mix well.
  3. Add most of the fresh mint to the bottom of two 8-10oz glass followed by frozen watermelon. Add a bit more fresh mint to the top of the watermelon.
  4. Fill glasses halfway with sparkling mineral water.
  5. Fill the glass the rest of the way with the mixed watermelon juice & Amazing Grass Watermelon Energy Green Superfood.
